Making a choice to seek counseling services is the first step in making a positive change in your life. Regardless of why you have chosen to enter therapy, it is a great opportunity for you to grow and develop yourself in different areas.
The most important part of the counseling experience is choosing the right therapist that fits with your personality. I believe that the therapeutic relationship must be genuine in order for true progress to be made during treatment. If you are seeking a genuine, empathetic, and compassionate counselor, you have come to the right place. My treatment approach is based in Carl Roger’s Humanistic model, where I focus on my client’s purpose for entering counseling. My clients often appreciate my nondirective approach, as I find this to be an important function in allowing my client to lead their sessions. As a team we work together to develop tools, skills, and ideas that will assist in creating an environment for positive change.
Intentional Hearts Counseling Services is focused on providing a warm and caring environment for each client that enters the office. I believe that it is extremely necessary for counselors to be intentional with their words and hearts when working with clients. I strive to help empower each of my clients to understand that anything is possible, and their goals can and will be achieved if they truly believe that they can do it. My philosophy is that everyone has their own answers, but sometimes needs assistance in finding their way.
